My Thoughts:

Here's another book that I read in one night.  When a book is that good, it's THAT good.

Shauna has a 5 year old little boy, and unfortunately lost her husband Jack to a climbing accident.  She hasn't really gotten over his death, especially since she blames her husband's best friend for what happened.

Unfortunately one of her close friends is killed and she believes he was murdered, the worst part is that she may now be in danger from the same people who killed him.  But who will she turn to for help?

Her husband's best friend of course hahahah

Actually, she doesn't ask him for help, he pretty much volunteers her and her son to move in with him, he has a secure place, big dogs and guns to protect them all.

As they both start digging into who may have killed their friend Clarence and his wife Lucy, they realize that the chain of murders goes further back, starting with their daughter Darla and possibly even connected to Shauna's husband himself.

What looked like an accident, begins to look more and more like murder too.

Of course through all of this, Shauna and Zach grow closer, she starts realizing that maybe he's not the monster she believes he is.

There's twists and turns, close calls, scary moments and it all leads up to the moment where they finally come face to face with who is behind all the murders, and it is a doozy for sure.  Not at all who I was expecting, it honestly shocked me hahah

Beautifully told, keeps you on the edge of your seat and has just enough romance and suspense to please everyone.
